Are you a commercial real estate investor looking for the best coverage on your properties, or a CRE broker wanting to make sure your clients are in the careful and confident hands of a commercial focused insurance professional?
Before getting into the insurance industry in 2011, the owner of Ascent was in finance, working in commercial real estate capital. Don't tell her you know how old she is now.....
Ascent Insurance Solutions has markets for most types of commercial property, even many hard to place buildings.
We value clear and transparent communication, particularly when it comes to coverages, limits, replacement costs, and deductibles, while striving to keep costs competitive.
If you own retail buildings, apartment complexes, warehouses, mixed use developments, restaurants, or any other piece of commercial property we'd love to help.
Likewise, if you're an expanding business owner who has grown out of your lease, wanting to reduce some of the real estate overhead by leasing out excess space, let's talk. Not only can we help guide you in what affects pricing, but we can also connect you with experienced commercial real estate brokers if you don't already have representation. Don't worry, we don't get kickbacks for referrals.
Does your organization have multiple exposures? Have you had coverage reviewed for limit adequacy and coverage gaps?
The Businessowners' Policy (BOP) is common in small business. We have market access to an array of full business packages that may be modified to fit the needs of many organizations.
For example:
Let's talk about your employment practices, cyber liability, professional liability, employee benefits liability, and many other coverages often found missing.
Packages may be custom built for your business and additional exposures you may have.
We often find basic policies that were bought online with no guidance, bought from agents that primarily focus on personal lines with limited familiarity on commercial insurance, or through payroll call centers with no guidance or support.
Some clients really like their carriers but just want an actual agent to provide them support or fill coverage gaps.
In these cases, we work with many major insurance companies and can easily take over representation of the existing policies. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's have a brief "getting to know you" meeting before we go down that path.
If you already have coverage in place, we can start with a policy review. We can determine coverage adequacy and marketability.
Does your organization own a fleet of commercial vehicles, even a small fleet?
Do your owners, officers, or employees drive their personal vehicles on the job?
Do you rent vehicles while traveling for business?
From passenger cars to big-rigs, and everything in between, we can help.
Whether a standalone commercial auto policy or as part of your commercial package, Ascent has access to many carriers and markets for all transportation risks.
We even have a dedicated transportation safety & compliance guru in house for fleet safety training needs. He's been OTR for 35 years and will be joining the Ascent family full-time once he retires those well worn road-wings.
Are you a tradesperson or artisan contractor who has trouble getting COI's to get on your jobsites?
Did you buy your own insurance online and wonder if you and your assets are truly covered for what you do?
If you like the self-driven method or want to self price online, we have those options available below, but as they say, "the devil's in the details" when it comes to coverage.
We can tailor a package to meet your specific needs to include your general liability, contractors professional liability, tools or equipment, and any auto exposures you have.
Don't forget to select workers' compensation too if you have any employees.
Did you know that our specialty is in working with public entities, such as schools, municipalities, and fire districts?
The owner of Ascent was an underwriter in governmental risk pooling (CSDSIP & CIRSA) for almost 9 years before joining the private sector in 2019. Working for a high turnover insurance brokerage which seemed to focus solely on "the close," she knew there was a better way to merge the client care and support she held dearly from risk pooling with the savings opportunity found in the open markets.
Ascent was launched in March of 2021 and we've had great success in the build-out while helping entities of all sizes and types with their specialty insurance risks!
Don't quite know where to begin? No worries! Schedule a call or Zoom for starters. We can review your existing commercial insurance policies, discuss options for other markets, and strategize risk management practices, which directly impact costs.
Jodie has over 12 years in the commercial insurance industry, coming from a background in the public sector as a senior underwriter for Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) and Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA).
In 2019 Jodie left governmental risk pooling to join the private sector with a large regional brokerage who focused on high volume workers' compensation. She quickly grew to be the top producer in the firm, though she was met with limitations in advocating for clients while in what felt to be a "sell only" environment.
In Jodie's words: "I didn’t want to become another cog in a corporate wheel and knew there could be a better way to help companies by offering both a personal approach and market access. So I BET IT ALL and ventured out to build it on my own on the faith that I would draw in a like-minded team and a healthy client base."
Jodie lives in the Saddle Rock community in SE Aurora & spends her downtime with her gal-pals at the golf course or with her husband and furbabies. She is the proud mother of a son deployed with the Army Reserves and a daughter in the medical field.
Jacob is a former active-duty Marine that served with 3d Law Enforcement Battalion and Marine Corps Police Department, MCMWTC as a Military Police Officer. After 4 years in the military, he pursued a career in insurance where he specialized in commercial lines – more specifically – Workers Compensation. He quickly grew to be a top producer at his agency and wanted to further his career by expanding into other Commercial Lines. In 2023 Jacob joined Ascent Insurance Solutions as the Commercial Lines Specialist and loves getting to know his clients.
In Jacob's words: “I don’t want to be an Insurance Producer with a ‘set it and forget it’ or ‘sell and be done’ mindset. My goal is to educate my clients on ways to cut cost on their different lines of insurance and ensure that their policies are being handled with the upmost care and attention that every policy holder deserves”.
Jacob holds his OSHA 10 & 30 certifications and is well versed in all things safety.
Jacob lives in SE Aurora and loves spending his time playing guitar, going to the shooting range, being with his family, and volunteering in his community.
We are stoked to have Jacob on the team!
