When was the last time your coverage limits and exclusions were reviewed?
Most business policies are built from templates that leave dangerous gaps.
At Ascent, we design custom business insurance packages that protect all sides of your operations — not just the basics.
Common inclusions:
We help you protect what you’ve built — and the people who make it possible.
Workers’ compensation is required in nearly every state (except Texas).
If you have employees, it’s not optional — but it is one of the few lines of insurance where you can actually influence your costs.
That’s why it’s our favorite.
With the right strategy, a proactive safety culture, and a broker who knows the system inside and out (hi there), you can take control of key pricing factors and reduce your total cost of risk.
Are you a commercial real estate investor or CRE broker looking for a partner who actually understands property risk?
Before joining the commercial insurance world, our owner worked in commercial real estate capital, so we get it — from replacement cost nuances to lender requirements.
We specialize in:
Expect clear communication, competitive pricing, and coverage that actually fits your asset.
Does your organization own a fleet of vehicles — even a small one?
Do employees or owners ever use personal vehicles for business?
Do you rent vehicles while traveling for work?
If you answered yes to any of the above, it’s time to take a closer look at your commercial auto coverage.
From passenger cars to heavy trucks — and everything in between — Ascent Insurance Solutions has access to top transportation and fleet markets. Whether you need a standalone policy or a package with your general liability, we’ve got you covered.
What sets us apart: we offer in-house safety support through Ascent Safety Solutions, led by a 35-year OTR veteran with 3.8 million accident-free miles.
Are you a contractor who’s struggled to get certificates of insurance (COIs) fast enough to start a job — or get paid?
Did you buy insurance online and now wonder if you’re actually covered for what you do?
We get it.
Liability coverage can feel like alphabet soup — but it’s the foundation of your business protection.
We’ll help you build a policy that truly fits what you do, covering:
Prefer handling things yourself? We can support that too — with self-serve quote options and same-day COIs for approved clients.
Supporting public entities — like schools, municipalities, and fire districts — is where Ascent began.
After nearly a decade underwriting for Colorado’s governmental risk pools (CSDSIP and CIRSA), our founder moved into the brokerage world — and later launched Ascent in 2021 to merge public-sector insight with open-market freedom.
Today, we serve:
We bring the heart of risk pooling together with the freedom of independent brokerage — helping you protect what matters most.

With a career in commercial insurance dating back to 2011, Jodie brings deep expertise in public sector risk management and a passion for building meaningful, client-first relationships.
She began her career as a senior underwriter for Colorado’s governmental risk pools — the Colorado School Districts Self-Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) and the Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA) — where she developed a strong foundation in protecting public entities.
In 2019, she transitioned into the private brokerage world, quickly becoming a top producer in workers’ compensation. But she also saw the limits of a system that valued volume over advocacy.
That realization sparked the creation of Ascent Insurance Solutions in 2021 — an independent agency built on integrity, expertise, and true partnership.
Today, Jodie leads the agency’s growth while mentoring a team of professionals who share her commitment to service and strategy.
When she’s not working with clients or supporting the team, Jodie enjoys golfing with friends or exploring Colorado’s backroads in the mudbuggy with her husband, Russell, and their beloved furbabies.

Not every business needs a full-service brokerage relationship — and that’s okay.
For start-ups, solo operators, or quick one-off policies, our partners at Thimble and NEXT Insurance make it easy to quote and bind coverage online in minutes.
