Did you know that if you have employees, workers' compensation is required in all but 1 state (TX)?
This is our favorite line of coverage because it's one of the few "controllable" insurance costs. There are many factors that affect pricing, much of which you can help minimize with the combination of an experienced & dedicated broker and a strong safety culture.
We work with clients to understand the importance of their Experience Modification Factor (aka EMOD) and the pricing implications of a swing.
We train and support clients on the certified Cost Containment program, which helps in the overall safety culture while providing a nice discount. Ask us about participation in a "Cost Containment Concierge" program.
Secondary Dividends! Would you like to be financially rewarded for your great performance & low claims dollars? Put your money back into your business where it belongs with additional dividends back into your pocket. What will you do with your check?
Additional support services and resources in clients' safety programs, nurse triage, human resources, and return to work assistance. Ask about our Safety Platform.
Whether you'd like to benchmark your current program, explore competing quotes, or have a complimentary review for missed savings or dividend programs, we're here for YOU.
We have vast carrier access, proven cost reduction programs, samples galore and analytics to boot.
Schedule a no-pressure meeting or fill out the intake form and we'll get to work.
Are you a commercial real estate investor looking for the best coverage on your properties, or a CRE broker wanting to make sure your clients are in the careful and confident hands of a commercial focused insurance professional?
Before getting into the insurance industry in 2011, the owner of Ascent was in finance, working in commercial real estate capital. Don't tell her you know how old she is now.....
Ascent Insurance Solutions has markets for most types of commercial property, even many hard to place buildings.
We value clear and transparent communication, particularly when it comes to coverages, limits, replacement costs, and deductibles, while striving to keep costs competitive.
If you own retail buildings, apartment complexes, warehouses, mixed use developments, restaurants, or any other piece of commercial property we'd love to help.
Likewise, if you're an expanding business owner who has grown out of your lease, wanting to reduce some of the real estate overhead by leasing out excess space, we're happy to help your new tenants with their insurance needs.
Does your organization have adequate protection for your multiple exposures? Have you had coverage reviewed for limit adequacy and coverage gaps?
We have market access to an array of full business packages that may be modified to fit the needs of businesses of all sizes.
Let's talk about your employment practices, cyber liability, professional liability, employee benefits liability, and many other coverages often found missing.
Packages may be custom built for your business and additional risk exposures you may have.
We often find basic policies that were bought online with no guidance, bought from agents that primarily focus on personal lines (with limited familiarity in commercial insurance) or through call centers with no guidance or support.
Some clients really like their carriers but just want a dedicated agent to provide them support or fill coverage gaps.
In these cases, we work with many major insurance companies and can easily take over representation of the existing policies. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's have a brief "getting to know you" meeting before we go down that path.
If you already have coverage in place, we can start with a policy review to determine coverage adequacy and marketability.
Does your organization own a fleet of commercial vehicles, even a smaller fleet?
Do your owners, officers, or employees drive their personal vehicles on the job?
Do you rent vehicles while traveling for business?
From passenger cars to big-rigs, and everything in between, we can help.
Whether a standalone commercial auto policy or as part of your commercial package, Ascent has access to many carriers and markets for all transportation risks.
We even have a safety division in house for fleet safety training needs. The department head has been OTR for 30+ years, has 3.8 million miles under his CDL, and is about as fanatical about transportation safety as we are about insurance.
Are you a contractor who has had trouble getting COI's to get on your jobsites or paid for your work?
Did you buy your own insurance online and wonder if you and your assets are actually covered for what you do if somebody isn't happy with your work?
If you like the self-driven method or want to shop online as a small business owner, we have those options, but as they say, "the devil's in the details" when it comes to coverage.
We can tailor a package to meet your specific needs to include your general liability, contractors professional liability, tools or equipment, pollution, and any auto exposures you have.
Don't forget to select workers' compensation too if you have employees.
Did you know that the owners' specialty is in working with public entities, such as schools, municipalities, and fire districts?
The owner of Ascent was an underwriter in governmental risk pooling (CSDSIP & CIRSA) for almost 9 years before joining the private sector in 2019. Working for a high volume, high turnover brokerage which felt to focus solely on "the close," she knew there was a better way to merge the client care and support she held dearly from risk pooling with the savings opportunity found in the open markets.
Ascent was launched in March of 2021 and we've had great success in a steady build-out while helping entities of all sizes and types with their specialty insurance risks!
License & Permit Bonds: Required by government agencies for regulatory compliance and obligations.
Construction Bonds: Ensure timely project completion, payment to subcontractors, and adherence to budget.
Court Bonds: Mandated by courts to protect legal parties' interests during litigation or guardianship.
Fidelity Bonds: Provide coverage against employee theft and dishonesty, protecting businesses from financial losses.
Don't quite know where to begin? No worries! Schedule a call or Zoom for starters. We can review your existing commercial insurance policies, discuss options for other markets, and strategize risk management practices, which directly impact costs.
Jodie has 13 years in the commercial insurance industry, coming from a background insuring the public sector as a senior underwriter for Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) and Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA).
In 2019 Jodie left governmental risk pooling to delve into the private sector, joining a large regional brokerage that focused primarily in high volume workers' compensation. She quickly grew to be top producer in the firm, though she was met with limitations in advocating for clients while in what felt to be a "sell only" environment.
In Jodie's words: "I didn’t want to become another cog in a corporate wheel and knew there could be a better way to help companies by offering both a personal approach and market access. So I BET IT ALL and ventured out to build it on my own on the faith that I would draw in a like-minded team and a healthy client base."
Jodie lives in the Saddle Rock community in SE Aurora & spends her downtime with her gal-pals at the golf course or with her husband and furbabies. She is the proud mother of an Army Reservist/CSU son and a daughter in the medical field.
